DAVE BORLASE INTERCESSORS FOR BRITAIN: FALSE FOUNDATIONS

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. (Matthew 7:5).

Once again, Dave Borlase demonstrates the false foundations of Intercessors For Britain (IFB). What Borlase calls "the church" is the false ecumenical church currently betraying Jesus Christ by compromising with Rome. Dave Borlase is following in the footsteps of his father, Ray Borlase, whose ecumenical leanings caused him to compromise with HEART Publications and its ecumenical "overseer" Clifford Hill. Hill is yet another Anglican who pontificates about "the state of the nation" whilst openly approving Marian apparitions! {1}

HEART Publications: "The paper also benefits from regular ‘prophetic’ articles on the state of the nation from Rev Dr Clifford Hill, a respected national minister who has joined the council of reference which helps oversee the paper." {2}

In the above video Borlase presents photographs of various Anglican churches temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We should bear in mind that the Anglican Church retained much RC doctrine and practice and was false from its inception. Today the Anglican Church is ecumenical by default. {3}



Borlase quotes from The Church Times, an independent Anglican weekly newspaper predisposed towards Anglo-Catholicism.{4}

Praise For Billy Graham

Borlase: "Over sixty years ago Billy Graham  first came to these shores and continued to do so for decades. While we may have had some issues with the ecumenical basis on which those missions were conducted.. many were saved and the gospel was preached in stadiums around the country." (6:20 mark)

Some issues!!! There were major issues with Billy Graham's ecumenism, and indeed what ultimately turned out to be his blatant universalism, as revealed to its full extent in his 1997 interview with Robert Schuller. {5} Billy Graham effectively sent potential converts straight into the arms of the Roman Catholic Church, Jewish Synagogues and other false denominations. Any words of truth that came out of Graham's deceptive mouth were literally snatched away before they could take root in many cases. (Matthew 13:19). To condone Billy Graham in any way shape or form is to show a shocking lack of discernment. (Ephesians 5:11).

Borlase's praise for Franklin Graham is similarly ill-judged. Franklin Graham is yet another example of the disgusting nepotism we find in so many "Christian" organizations. Franklin Graham has quite literally followed in his fathers ecumenical footsteps by putting on a number of "festivals" complete with participating Roman Catholic clergy.

In 2005, Franklin Graham attended the enthronement of Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican. Billy Graham's daughter, false teacher Anne Graham Lotz represented the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at Pope John Paul II's funeral.

"In 2006, Roman Catholics participated in a 'festival' conducted by Franklin Graham in Winnipeg, Canada. Each diocese in central Canada was represented on the festival executive committee. Catholic bishops were assured that, 'Following in the footsteps of his father, Franklin Graham will present basic Christianity. The Catholic will hear no slighting of the Church's teaching on Mary or authority, nor of papal or Episcopal prerogative; no word against the Mass/Divine Liturgy or sacraments, nor of Catholic practices or customs' ('Central Canada 2006 Franklin Graham Festival Background and Pastoral Notes for Catholic Clergy and Workers,' by Luis Melo, Director of Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs, Archdiocese of Saint Boniface)." {6}

The false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church are rampant. The brief points below demonstrate the wickedness of the Roman Catholic Church and their false beliefs. (See Further Links)

  • The RCC falsely claims that it is the one true church.
  • Infant baptism is the new birth. (John 3:7).
  • Transubstantiation = the process by which the bread and wine of the Eucharist is supposedly transformed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
  • Trust in the sacraments for salvation. 
  • Confession to a priest and not to God. (Psalm. 32:5; Hosea 14:2).
  • Mariolatry.
  • The Fatima deception.
  • Purgatory.
  • Image worship = idolatry.

Double Standards!

IFB's stance against abortion obviously strikes a cord with those of us who are concerned about the callous murder of millions of unborn infants. However IFB are hypocrites! At the very same time that IFB loudly protests against abortion, they deliberately ignore the millions of souls lost due to the false gospel of Roman Catholicism. The inevitable prospect of spiritual death and eternal damnation awaits countless numbers of people involved in the false gospel of the ecumenical movement! IFB diverts our attention from the true gospel of Jesus Christ to good causes and political agendas whilst turning a blind eye to the ecumenical elephant in the room. This is the sin of unfaithfulness that the Israelites were guilty of. Ecumenism breaks the first commandment: You shall have no other gods before Me. (Exodus 20:3).

Do not go after other gods to serve and worship them, or provoke me to anger with the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’  (Jeremiah 25:26 cf. Ecclesiastes 10:1; Isaiah 5:24).



Should Christians confess the sins of their nation?

Borlase's instruction to confess the sins of our nation is unbiblical. There is no scriptural instruction authorising Christians to repent on behalf of ungodly people or groups. The New Testament commands Christians to repent of their own sins and to pray for the ungodly. Corporate guilt is not biblical unless it concerns sin involving God's people corporately. The New Testament overwhelmingly requires sin to be confessed individually. (Acts 2:38; 3:19). In some cases, a congregation or a family involved in a some particular collective sin may choose to confess as a body of believers. Nevertheless, the the entire focus of the NT is upon individual repentance. Identifying with unbelievers as "we" rather than "they", is to wrongly affiliate ourselves with the world, with the old man and with spiritual darkness and death. In essence national repentance is to re-associate oneself with the things that have come under the blood of Jesus Christ - the former things for which we have been forgiven. National repentance is actually a denial of the cross of Christ and the new birth!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17).

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. (John 17:14-17 cf. John 15:19).

The idea that we should confess national sins stems from a basic misunderstanding of the scriptures...
Daniel confessed the sins of his people i.e. God's people the Israelites. (Daniel 9:1-19). Britain (or for that matter any other country) does not have the same distinction as that of ancient Israel under the old covenant of the Law.

 ..if MY PEOPLE who are called by MY NAME is exclusive - it does not apply to unbelievers. (2 Chronicles 7:14) 

God is not limited by national boundaries. He commands all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30). For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.. (Romans 3:22-23). Borlase's fixation with Britain's so called "Christian heritage" is based on the faulty premise that the professing church consists of regenerate believers. This premise, for the most part, is pure fiction. Britain's professing church, in common with the whole world, is under the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:19).

IFB are very good at calling the nation to repentance whilst ignoring their own crass hypocrisy as demonstrated by their associations with the false gospel of the RCC, the CofE and other apostate denominations.

The sin of ecumenism equates to the worship of false gods and has the very stench of spiritual death!

BILLY GRAHAM'S NEW AGE CHRIST

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. (2 Corinthians 11:4).

Billy Graham has been admired and praised repeatedly over the years by various denominations as a great evangelist and a man of God. For many people, Graham's ministry was compelling, and yet his methods generated public opposition from a number of his contemporaries due to his compromise with ecumenism. In 1963 Graham invited Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones to chair the first World Congress on Evangelism, the predecessor to Lausanne. However Lloyd-Jones objected to the presence of Roman Catholics and liberals on Graham's crusade platform. He stated publicly that visible unity with those who are opposed to essential matters of salvation was sinful. Lloyd-Jones also stood against the invitation system (altar calls) that Graham had adopted in his crusades, saying that he believed the invitation system was a source of mass-delusion and harm to churches. {1} For the same reasons, in March of 1966, Bob Jones Jr. said that Graham was "doing more harm to the cause of Jesus Christ than any living man". {2}

The Ecumenical Movement is the quest for unity throughout the three main Christian denominations and their various offshoots i.e. Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Protestant. The Roman Catholic Church is at the forefront of these efforts. Doctrinal differences go far beyond superficial squabbles amongst Christians. (1 Timothy 4:16). Critically sound doctrine verifies the exclusivity of Jesus Christ and His claims as the one and only Son of God, the Saviour of the world. The question: "Who do men say that I am?" (Matthew 16:13) is still the most important question that echoes throughout history. Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” (Luke 9:20). Peter's confession constitutes the sum of the Christian confession i.e. by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, is the only way to the Father. (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus confirmed this when he declared Himself to be ..the door of the sheep: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. (John 10:1). “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.." (John 14:6). This is the truth that Roman Catholicism denies at its very core by insisting that submission to itself, the RC Church and its sacraments are additional requirements necessary for salvation. Roman Catholicism is intensely hostile to the real Jesus Christ! They have added to the scriptures and by doing so they have denied the very gospel itself. (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; 1 John 2:22). The scriptures are clear enough on this vital subject, and yet all the main denominations are now ecumenical, including the majority of those who claim to be "evangelical". The ecumenical "Jesus" is none other than the usurper, the New Age Christ of Theosophy and the United Nations. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. (1 John 4:3) ..the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

Billy Graham repeatedly and fundamentally misrepresented the exclusive salvific purpose of Jesus Christ. He actually went even further than ecumenism because he recognised other faiths as well as pseudo-Christian denominations. His various affirmations that people can be saved apart from the name of Jesus Christ are a fundamental contradiction of the scriptures. The confusion lies in the fact that Graham did preach the true gospel during his crusade presentations. However many supposed converts were immediately thrown to the wolves i.e. the RC Church, Jewish synagogues and other apostate denominations. Thus Graham and his wicked associates used the invitation system to covertly facilitate the failure of the supposed aim of the crusades. In fact, they did everything possible to ensure that the word would be snatched away from many potential converts before it could take root. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in the heart; this is what was sown on the path. (Matthew 13:19). It is debatable how many people were actually saved through Graham's duplicitous crusades.

January 1978 interview with James Michael Beam of McCall’s magazine: 'I Can’t Play God Any More'. “I used to believe that pagans in far-off countries were lost — were going to hell — if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I no longer believe that. … I believe that there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God—through nature, for instance—and plenty of other opportunities, therefore, of saying ‘yes’ to God.” {3}

In 1985, Los Angeles reporter David Colker asked Graham: “What about people of other faiths who live good lives but don’t profess a belief in Christ?” Graham: “I’m going to leave that to the Lord. He’ll decide that” {4}

During his infamous television interview with Robert Schuller on Saturday, May 31, 1997, Graham once again affirmed that people can be saved apart from the name of Christ:

SCHULLER: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?

GRAHAM: Well, Christianity and being a true believer—you know, I think there’s the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ. And I don’t think that we’re going to see a great sweeping revival that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. I think James answered that—the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God’s purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that’s what God is doing today, He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven. 

 SCHULLER: Well, what I hear you saying, that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they’ve been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you’re saying?

GRAHAM: Yes, it is, because I believe that. I’ve met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they’ve believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they’ve tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived. 

 SCHULLER: This is fantastic! I’m so thrilled to hear you say that! There’s a wideness in God’s mercy!

GRAHAM: There is. There definitely is.

Part II of that interview was broadcast on Sunday, June 8. In the following excerpt confirms Graham's close association with the Roman Catholic Church:

SCHULLER: You knew ... Fulton Sheen. You knew these men. Your comments on both of these men [Fulton Sheen and Norman V. Peale].

GRAHAM: The primary way of communicating is to live the life, let people see that you're living what you proclaim.... [comments on his friendship and conversations with Fulton Sheen] I lost a very dear friend, and since that time, the whole relationship between me and my work, and you and your work, and the Roman Catholic Church has changed. They open their arms to welcome us and we have the support of the Catholic Church almost everywhere we go. And I think that we must come to the place where we keep our eyes on Jesus Christ, not on what denomination or what church or what group we belong to. {5}

Graham's rhetoric absolutely lined up with the New Age Christ promoted by the United Nations and the Roman Catholic Catechism which states: "Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation." (Paragraph 847). {6}

The Theosophical Society was founded in 1875 by Satanist and channeler Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Alice Bailey subsequently claimed that her teachings were a continuation of Blavatsky. A publishing company, initially named Lucifer Publishing Company (now Lucis Trust), was established by Alice and Foster Bailey in the State of New Jersey, in May 1922 in order to publish the book, Initiation Human and Solar. {7} Like Blavatsky, Bailey’s teachings were also channeled from supposed "ascended masters", and revolved around the central concept of the Second Coming of a personal Christ, the so-called “Lord Christ-Maitreya” aka the “World Teacher” for humanity. This is none other than the Antichrist, the false New Age Christ of ecumenism.

Lucis Trust - The Christ

The Christ has been for two thousand years the supreme Head of the Church Invisible, the Spiritual Hierarchy, composed of disciples of all faiths. He recognises and loves those who are not Christian but who retain their allegiance to Their Founders—the Buddha, Mohammed and others. BILLY GRAHAM ENEMY OF JESUS CHRIST!

Billy Graham: 33rd degree Freemason? Arch Deceiver, Friend of the Vatican, ecumenist, friend of the world, ENEMY OF JESUS CHRIST!

Graham: "The Body of Christ which comes from all the Christian groups around the world, or outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they are conscious of it or not, they are members of the body of Christ..

God is calling people out of the world for His name... whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world or the non believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they have been called by God. One of the worst deceivers of modern times, Billy Graham's assertion that there is salvation outside Jesus Christ is rank heresy! His infamous betrayal of the true faith has long been a cause of concern to many bible believing Christians. (1 Timothy 4:1). The above quote from Graham is comparable to the Pope's false pronouncement that "..everyone is redeemed through Jesus, including atheists, who don't have to believe in God to go to heaven."{1} These statements stand in diametric opposition to the teaching of Jesus Christ:

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Matthew 7:14).

Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. (Luke 13:24).

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.(John 1:12-13).

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5).

And then I will declare unto them, 'I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.' (Matthew 7:23).

Many people are praising Billy Graham, not because he spoke the truth, but because he was a friend of the world. (Luke 6:26; James 4:4). Among those who have paid tribute to Graham are Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Justin Welby and all the usual ecumenical apostates. {2} Graham played a major role in promoting the ecumenical and inter-faith agenda as early as the 1950s. His alliance with the Vatican and many other false teachers is a testimony to his true agenda to subvert the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Graham's early addresses were convincing, but in reality he had been on the same page as the Vatican for decades. He sent his so called "converts" to Roman Catholic churches, Jewish synagogues and various other false denominations. At such places, the word of God would, in all likelihood, be snatched away very quickly. (Matthew 13:19).

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) butchered the Halley Bible Commentary in an attempt to cover up the martyrdom of millions of Christians at the hands of the RCC. After the BGEA acquired the printing rights for Special Crusade editions of Halley's book, they agreed to leave it unchanged. Halley’s widow was appalled to find that the BGEA had changed her husband’s work by removing pages 676 to 705, the pages that described the martyrdom of millions through the papal Inquisition.

If Billy Graham was not a 33rd Degree Freemason, he did a very good impression of one! His association with Freemasons such as Robert Schuller, Norman Vincent Peale and various presidents is well known. The Vatican officially condemn Freemasonry, but I suspect this is part of their Hegelian dialectic.

BILLY GRAHAM PERPETRATOR OF ONE OF THE GREATEST DECEPTIONS EVER!

The talk by Cecil Andrews of Take Heed Ministries below is yet a further exposure and reflection on Billy Graham's deception which embraces ecumenism and the New Age Christ i.e. The Antichrist.

Billy Graham: “That’s what God is doing today. He’s calling people for out of the world for His name whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, uh they are members of the body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but uh they know in their heart that they need something that they don’t have and they turn to the only light that they have and I think they are saved and that they’re going to be with us in Heaven.”

When deceiver Billy Graham spoke these words he was reiterating the very essence of Masonic belief in a “Supreme Being” which includes the “gods” of other world religions:

33rd degree Mason Manly P Hall: “The true Mason is not creed-bound. He realizes with the divine illumination of his lodge that as Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha or Mohammed, the name means little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer. He worships at every shrine, bows before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realizing with his truer understanding the oneness of all spiritual truth. All true Masons know that they only are heathen who, having great ideals, do not live up to them. They know that all religions are but one story told in divers ways for peoples whose ideals differ but whose great purpose is in harmony with Masonic ideals. North, east, south and west stretch the diversities of human thought, and while the ideals of man apparently differ, when all is said and the crystallization of form with its false concepts is swept away, one basic truth remains: all existing things are Temple Builders, laboring for a single end. No true Mason can be narrow, for his Lodge is the divine expression of all broadness. There is no place for little minds in a great work.” 

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. (1 John 2/22)

How many times does God have to tell us in his Word that "other gods" are NOT of Him? It has been said that Billy Graham has perpetrated one of the greatest deceptions ever! Indeed he is an antichrist who masquerades as a servant of righteousness:

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (2 Corinthians 11/13-15)

You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you—
(Deuteronomy 6/14)
 
I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them persistently, saying, ‘Turn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your deeds, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to you and your fathers.’ But you did not incline your ear or listen to me. (Jeremiah 35/15)

No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. (1 Corinthians 10/20) 

The apostle Paul took THREE YEARS of his precious time to warn the Ephesian elders about the coming internal deception. Paul warned for three years, day and night with tears! Can we therefore conclude that this was a priority for Paul and that he wanted the elders to be prepared so that they could protect both themselves and the flock?

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears. (Acts 20/28-31)

Cecil Andrews talks about the "fruit" of Billy Graham's ministry. The assumption is that because many people responded at Billy Graham Crusades that these dear people are now born again Bible believing Christians. However there is no evidence for this. Many respondees were sent straight into the arms of the Roman Catholic Church and its accompanying false teachings. The Bible tells us to make disciples not converts (Matthew 28/19). Cecil Andrews discusses the authenticity of Billy Graham's famous convert, Cliff Richard. However, once again we see what appears to be a false conversion:

DECEIVER BILLY GRAHAM EXPOSED!!!

Unbiblical statements about the second coming of Jesus Christ from Billy and Franklin Graham should serve as a huge red flag to true believers of Jesus Christ. Both these men are currently heralding the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth. These statements are utterly false and have no biblical foundation whatsoever. The Bible tells us that Christ will NOT return to the earth until the end of the Great Tribulation!!!! Certain end-time events must take place before Jesus Christ returns to the earth (2 Thessalonians 2/4; Matthew 24/4-30; Revelation chapters 6–19).

We would have to be biblically illiterate to believe anything coming out of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA).

Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. (2 Thesalonians 2/3-4)

Franklin Graham in a recent interview with of all people apostate TBN Co-Founder Jan Crouch: “We feel that we’re on the edge, that the lord Jesus Christ could come back at any moment.”


The BGEA places the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth as simultaneous events…..this raises some very serious issues:

It is important to differentiate between the rapture (the harpázō of the ekklésia - the snatching away of the true church) and the second coming of Jesus Christ. The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4/13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15/50-54. The second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth is described in Revelation 19/11-16.

The timing of the rapture is not specified in the scriptures ….. no one knows the day or the hour (Matthew 25/13), whereas the second coming of Christ to the earth follows a definite sequence of events and will occur after the great tribulation. In both Daniel and Revelation we have a period of three and a half lunar years, described variously as 42 months, 1260 days, or a time, times and half a time (Daniel 7/25; 12/7; Revelation 11/2; 12/6; 12/14; 13/5). In Daniel 12/11-12 the period is extended to 1290 and 1335 days (Daniel 12/11-12).

And he (the Antichrist) shall make a strong covenant with many for one week (seven years – each day is one year), and for half of the week (three and a half years) he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator. (Daniel 9/27)

Concerning the rapture, some people take the pre-tribulation view, some the mid tribulation view and some the post tribulation view. It does concern me that those who teach a definitive pre-tribulation position are taking liberties with God’s word and I am not convinced by their arguments (Proverbs 30/6; Revelation 22/18). My own thoughts are that if the rapture and the second coming are simultaneous, believers will have to go through the whole period of the great tribulation and suffer the wrath of God (1 Thessalonians 5/9; Revelation 3/10; 6/12-17). I therefore very tentatively take a pre-wrath rather than a pre-tribulation view at this point in time for the following reasons:

The rapture will be an instantaneous event (1 Corinthians 15/52), whereas the second coming will be visible to all people and Christ’s millennial reign on the earth will begin (Revelation 1/7).

At the rapture, Christ comes for His own - believers will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4/13-18; John 14/3). The elect will be rescued just as Lot was rescued from Sodom (Luke 17/28-29). This is what is referred to as the “secret” rapture.

In contrast, the second coming is Christ’s visible return to the earth ----every eye shall see him---- (Revelation 1/7; Matthew 24/29-30; Acts 1/11). His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14/2-4)). Jesus Christ will come to the earth with His own following the great tribulation period of three and a half years (1 Thessalonians 3/13; Jude 1/14; Revelation 19/4,14). At the end of the age, the angels will gather all stumbling blocks and those who commit lawlessness (Matthew 13/40-42, 47-50) The wicked will be blotted out as in the days of Noah (Genesis 7/23; Matthew 24/39).

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24/31; Mark 13/27) 

There seems to be a very short period of time between the rapture and the second coming in the above passage. Nevertheless it is not the same event.

To sum up, the Christians are taken from the earth at the rapture and the wicked are left, whereas the wicked are taken away at the second coming and the Christians remain on the earth with Christ.

What are we to think about Billy and Franklin Graham? Are they so arrogant that they think that they can say anything and be believed? Unfortunately there are people who have made the catastrophic mistake of gambling with their eternal destiny by putting Billy Graham on a pedestal above the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. We should seriously take note of the Berean Jews and test men’s words against the scriptures (Acts 17/11). No man’s reputation should come above Jesus Christ and His gospel!

These men are false prophets and false teachers. As I have written in previous posts, they have a proven track record of apostasy and compromise. The whole Graham family are ecumenical including Anne Graham Lotz. They have a form of godliness, but they deny the power of the true gospel (2 Timothy 3/5). The true gospel preached by the power of the Holy Spirit is the power of God for salvation – this is incompatible with ecumenism (Romans 1/16). These men empty the cross of Christ of its power (1 Corinthians 1/17).

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1/8)

Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea. (Revelation 12/17)

The love of the Lord is directly connected to making disciples NOT converts. Any person preaching the gospel has a responsibility to do everything possible to ensure that those who respond are given sound teaching and follow up.

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs (Greek = little lambs).” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.” (John 21/15-17)

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit….. (Matthew 28/19)

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. (Acts 20/28)

The BGEA quite literally throw the lambs to the wolves by sending them directly into the “care” of the Luciferian Roman Catholic Church!!!

Billy Graham and Franklin Graham are actually aiding demons in snatching away the gospel from mens hearts:

DECEIVER BILLY GRAHAM IS SETTING PEOPLE UP FOR THE ANTICHRIST!


Billy Graham aka "Mr Facing Two Ways" has been described by more than a few people as: “The greatest deceiver of this century” due to his inclusivist ecumenical beliefs. Many discerning Christians have seen through Billy Graham and have distanced themselves from him after realising what he really is, including fundamentalist leaders Bob Jones Senior and Junior, James Bennett, Dr John R Rice, Dr Charles Woodridge, Jack Wyrtzen and Dr Robert Ketcham etc.
President Truman called Graham “a counterfeit”.

BILLY GRAHAM: "The return of Christ is near."

November 2013 - Billy Graham: “And those signs (of the end of the age) in my judgement are converging now for the first time since Jesus made those predictions.” Graham also said that he has a burden for sounding the alarm for humanity to repent and turn from their sin just like Noah did in ancient days. Though some of what Graham says sounds plausible, his whole ministry is tainted by the ecumenical spirit of antichrist –
BILLY GRAHAM IS NO NOAH!

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) does not believe in the “secret” rapture of the church. Billy Graham has stated that the rapture is concurrent with Christ’s second coming:

The above statements are very dangerous contradictions of the Bible - they are confusing and deceptive. They are so deceptive that I believe Billy Graham will be instrumental in fooling people into accepting the Antichrist!

The “rapture” so called (the harpázō of the ekklésia– the snatching away of the true church) is when Jesus Christ will meet believers in the air:

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4/16-17)

The actual timing of the rapture is the subject of much debate, some take the pre-tribulation position, some the mid tribulation position and some the post tribulation position. It is not my intention to go into the timing of the rapture here apart from stating that it is a separate event prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth.

If the rapture is concurrent with the second coming, then what Graham says about Christ's imminent return is biblically impossible! The second coming of Christ to the earth cannot happen for at least seven years!!!! The problem is that the Antichrist is going to come as a “christ” figure prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth, and I believe that it is this deception that Billy Graham et al are promoting. The term "antichrist" denotes “in place of Christ” as well as "against Christ".

The period of time generally referred to as “the tribulation” will begin when the Antichrist signs a seven-year covenant with many (Israel) (Daniel 9 /24-27). It is this event that starts Daniel’s 70th week. The Antichrist will break the covenant in the middle of the seven years. Once the Antichrist sets up the abomination of desolation there will be a period three and a half lunar years, described variously as 42 months, 1260 days, or a time, times and half a time (Daniel 7/25; 12/7; Revelation 11/2; 12/6; 12/14; 13/5). This is the period referred to by Jesus Christ as “Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24/21). This event signals that there are only three and a half years remaining before Jesus Christ returns to earth to set up his earthly kingdom.

And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week (seven years – each day is one year), and for half of the week (three and a half years) he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator. (Daniel 9/27)

And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. (Daniel 12/11)

During the Great Tribulation, Satan will deceive the entire world into worshipping him in the form of the end time Antichrist (Revelation 13/1-4). Eventually he will gather all the armies of the world to fight against the returning Jesus Christ (Revelation 16/12,14)

But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24/36-42)

Noah entered the ark seven days prior to the flood (Genesis 7/10) - this is a type of the rapture (the flood being a type of the tribulation when God's judgement falls on a wicked world).

Revelation 19/14: And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. Those returning to the earth with Christ are armies (plural), they are not only angels (Matthew 25/31), they also comprise the totality of the saints - they wear white and pure fine linen (býssos) which is the righteousness of saints (Revelation 3/4; 7/14; 19/8). At some point in time prior to the second coming believers are removed from the earth.

The rapture is NOT the second coming of Christ to the earth.

Christ will NOT return to the earth when the true church is raptured.

I can only conclude that Billy Graham along with his son Franklin Graham are either biblically illiterate or intentional deceivers!

PREACHERS OF COMPROMISE: FRANKLIN GRAHAM AND BILLY GRAHAM

The news in October that Franklin Graham was responsible for removing the classification of “[W]e’re calling people names. If I want to win people to Christ, how can I call them names?” .....And it’s not going to come back, because I don’t want to be involved in calling a person a name.”
Mormonism as a cult from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) website is shocking to say the least. This action followed a meeting between Billy Graham, Franklin Graham and the Mormon Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The Grahams endorsement of Mitt Romney speaks volumes about where they stand spiritually. The question might be asked: What were the Grahams doing meeting such a person unless it was to tell him the gospel? Responding to criticism about removing Mormonism as a cult, Franklin Graham said:
"There are problems with this attitude in that teachers and leaders are called to protect the flock, the body of Christ against error and their first priority is to preserve sound doctrine and preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Billy Graham said he admired Romney’s values and strong moral conviction it was a privilege to pray with him” ---- pray with him!!!!! How can they pray with a man who believes in a different Jesus entirely from Jesus Christ of the Bible? It would be well for the Grahams to note that anyone preaching a false gospel is accursed (anathema) (Galatians 1/8-9).
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1/8-9)
Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is a created being and that he is the spirit brother of Lucifer; they believe in salvation by works - that is just the beginning.
Bill Keller of liveprayer.com put it very bluntly:
“A vote for Romney is a vote for Satan.”
"To not just endorse a 5th generation high priest of a satanic cult that propagates a false gospel leading souls to hell, but then remove the warning from his website that Mormons are NOT Christians in order to justify that endorsement is a sad moment....."

A cult is any group which teaches doctrines or beliefs that deviate from the biblical message of the Christian faith. It is very important that we recognize cults and avoid any involvement with them. Cults often teach some Christian truth mixed with error, which may be difficult to detect.

There are some features common to most cults:

• They do not adhere solely to the sixty-six books of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. They add their "special revelations" to the Bible and view them as equally authoritative.

• They do not accept that our relationship to Jesus Christ is a reality "by grace through faith" alone, but promote instead a salvation by works.

• They do not give Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, full recognition as the second Person of the Trinity, composed of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Some of these groups are Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spiritists, Scientologists, and others.

WHERE IS THE CHRISTIAN WITNESS?

Jewish presenter of The Majority Report, Sam Seder summed up what kind of Christian witnesses the Grahams are very well:

“All it takes is - Mitt Romney comes, kisses the ring, and you have to erase what it has said on your website for years and years and years……When even the doctrinaire fundamentalists can’t maintain an ideology, what is this world coming to?”
Billy and Franklin Graham’s foolishness has actually exposed them as the hypocrites they are. Franklin Graham squirmed evasively through an interview on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' on the 21st of February 2012 when he was pressed about Obama’s supposed Christianity. How sickening that he subsequently apologised saying that he regrets “any comments I have ever made which may have cast any doubt on the personal faith of our president, Mr. Obama.”  Surely it would be honest and straightforward to say that on abortion and gay rights alone Obama’s views are unbiblical, and that he is an enemy of true Christianity by default. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. (Titus 1/16)  Hirelings like the Grahams will not make a stand and honour the Lord when it comes to the crunch. People like Obama see right through these cowards.
I believe that Billy Graham and Franklin Graham are marked men and that the Lord will use Obama against them in the future – they will be hoisted with their own petard so to speak….. This is my feeling on the matter - I would not give a prophecy unless I was 100% sure.
Billy Graham has been compromising with the Roman Catholic Church for decades. He was criticised in the past by Martyn Lloyd-Jones and Francis Schaeffer for his ecumenical compromise. In 1961 Graham bought the rights to Halley’s Bible Handbook and butchered it. He removed Dr Halley’s section on Church History which contained warnings about the false doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church; specifically important information about the Jesuits and the papacy, the persecution of the Reformers and the murders perpetrated against Bible believing Christians. According to Dr Halley’s widow this particular research took him years to compile. This is another act of Grahams that has somewhat backfired on him due to the backlash.
In 2002 Billy Graham apologised deeply for any offence he may have caused for anti-Jewish remarks he made privately to President Nixon in 1973 which were secretly recorded. The Grahams keep apologising, but they never seem to learn!
The book The Legacy of Billy Graham: The Accommodation of Truth to Error in the Evangelical Church (Fundamental Presbyterian Publications, 1998):
“[t]he tragic flaw of Billy Graham is that he has increasingly through the years accommodated error in order to gain greater influence” (p. 49).
“There are clearly numerous reasons for the current sorry state of Christianity, but considering the influence Dr. Graham has exerted, it is not unfair to say that his accommodation of truth to error has played an unparalleled part in the confusion and error seen in the evangelical church of our day” (p. 61).
It would have been better for Billy Graham never to have entered the ministry at all. Any good he may have done in the beginning is far outweighed by the damage he has done to the body of Christ through ecumenical compromise. He has even denied the Lord Jesus Christ by embracing universalism:
"I think everybody who knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ...God's purpose is to call out a people for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, Buddhist world, the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus...and I think they are saved, and that they are going to be in heaven with us."
In 2008 Franklin Graham received two salaries, two retirement packages, and other payments from the BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse totalling $1.2 million annually. He was shamed into giving up his BGEA salary, but he still gets a staggering salary from Samaritan’s Purse of $561,000 (2010). Paul said that the apostles had the right of “support” which he defined in terms of basic needs like food and drink (1 Corinthians 9). Franklin Graham’s salary is a far cry from this. Paul’s attitude and lifestyle as a tentmaker was totally the opposite and speaks for itself:
But we did not use this right [of support]. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ. (1 Corinthians 9/12)
But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. (1 Timothy 6/8)
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. (1 Corinthians 5/11)
These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved.For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire. (2 Peter 2/17-22)
